Biography

Corey Maass, producing and performing as Secret Agent Gel, posts regular studio mixes and produces 128bpm bangers. The focus is on syncopated rhythms, deep bass, and catchy arrangements. When DJing, his own tunes get blended with South Africa's smoothest tunes and London's grimiest productions for a mix that will make anybody dance.

Secret Agent Gel has always obsessed over UK dance music. From IDM-infused Garage and 2-step in the late 90’s to 2005 being one of the first Americans pioneering dubstep. Collaborating with Warrior Queen, realising under Dub War (America's first dubstep party), and DJing with Kode 9 and Joe Nice, he quickly established himself in the UK underground club scene. Influenced by UK funky house and other dance music from Africa and the Caribbean, his sound has evolved into percussive house with nods to global bass and club music.

He also contributes back to the community by running the Bass Tourist music blog, podcast, and label.
