It’s been a tumultuous month. Rowdy!, our monthly event, is no more. The venue was bought and we decided to stop chasing the dragon. I was a great year, and thanks to everyone who came out and who played! We had a blast.
And then Gel Studio got a make over with new Dynaudio BM5A’s, and lots of new tunes are on the way. I’ll be dropping a few new tunes at Alteration on the 20th here in Brooklyn.
Bass Tourist has had two stellar releases and we’re ramping up for the climax of 2008, an EP from BunZer0 on Dec 1!
Finally, The Kids Are Bored radio show on Sub.FM had another great broadcast this week, but we forgot to record it. D’oh! Tune in next month.
Next Friday, the 10th of October, is my birthday. So I’m NOT playing Rowdy! - instead, we’ve booked some of our favorite DJ’s so I can just party!
But I am playing the night before, October 9th, at Dubbernaut at the Deity Bar with Lion Dub, Nebulla, DJ Dore, Soroka and more. This will be fun! Come down.
Thanks to everyone who hosted me in England. Great meeting so many people. Had an amazing time. Hopefully back soon and yre all welcome to crash at mine anytime!
Next week I head for the UK. I’ll be dropping heat in Bristol on the 11th, check it! Otherwise, bumming around Bristol and London thru the 15th. If yre around, get in touch!
Back in NYC after playing Grime City in San Francisco. Had a blast, despite the heat.
Big thanks to everyone that’s had me out in the last month - Weight in Austin, Rhymatic in Houston, Grime City in San Francisco. Proper gentlemen (and ladies).
Tomorrow I head to Texas for a bit of a tour mixed with vacation. If yre in the state, check me Wednesday in Austin for Weight at Plush, and in Houston for Rhythmatic at Dean’s Credit Clothing. If yre else where, tune into SubFM on Monday at 5PM EST as I’ll be joining the Drawl crew.
At last the new secretagentgel.com is online. Watch for news, mixes, audio and info about gigs. If yre one of those savvy folks that uses RSS feeds (like in google reader), make sure you grab the link below.
“More Floor”, the full-length CD is on it’s way from the plant. This 11-track album, out on Low Motion Records, is the follow-up to my last, “No Floor”, and again focuses on my dubstep sound. Pre-order now direct from the releases panel. Otherwise, wait a month and it’ll be available on iTunes, emusic, etc. (Links to follow)
